About Amber's Angels

My name is Amberlyn Fett and I have a fatal disease called Cystic Fibrosis. I have been in and out of hospitals all my life and currently am waiting to be put on the list for a double lung transplant. Many years while in the hospital at Christmas time I witnessed children left alone with no one to be with them or comfort them on Christmas Day, not to mention not even a present to open. This really bothered me and I wanted to do something to let these precious children know that they were loved and that someone did care.
 Amberlyn & Patrick Rose
It was during my Freshman year of high school that I decided to found Amber's Angels. It is an organization that is close to my heart. In 2007, Amber's Angels was recognized by the American Red Cross of Central Texas with the Youth Good Samaritan Award, State Representative Patrick Rose awarded Amber's Angels with an award in the 80th Legislation, and in December KEYE 42 News did a segment "Your Hometown" highlighting our Christmas Project that we do every year for Dell Children's Medical Center.
The mission of Amber's Angels is making Christmas Gift Bags for every child in the hospital on Christmas Day; in addition, we also raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis FoundationSusan G. Komen FoundationAsthma & Allergy Foundation, and get prom dresses donated to give to less fortunate girls who don't have the money to buy their "Dream Dress" for that magical night that every girl dreams of.

I am writing to ask if you would like to donate to help buy the gift bags to be given to the children in the hospital during Christmas. Items I am hoping to buy would be: blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books, and items for the PICU and NICU units of the hospital. Your donation would help provide ALL this for an unsuspecting child.

YOU are our Angels helping with our dream as Ghandi says "... be the change you want to see in the world..."
